Chicago Math and Science Academy hosted “Block Party” FTC qualifier. 25 FTC teams participated in this event. It was also our first shot at hosting an official regional and the first time a school in Chicago hosted such an event.
The event was such a huge success that the senior partners for FIRST Robotics in Illinois awarded with a trophy.
HSA McKinley’s girls robotics team, The Pink Techno Bots, competed in their first regional competition and won an award for being the best rookie team. CMSA’s teams Robottitans and Robowarriors played the semifinals in this event as well. Robotitans won the Motivate Award at the competition.
